1 TO PRESERVE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE TRADITIONAL SKILLS OF WOODEN SHIPBUILDING AND TO PROMOTE INTEREST AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN MARITIME HERITAGE BY BUILDING A REPLICA OF THE CLIPPER SHIP "CUTTY SARK" AS A SEA GOING VESSEL.
2 TO ADVANCE EDUCATION IN THE TRADITIONAL SKILLS OF OPERATING AND MAINTAINING SHIPS UNDER SAIL BY PROVIDING TRAINING IN SEAMANSHIP TO YOUNG PEOPLE OF ALL NATIONS.
3 TO ENCOURAGE THE PRESERVATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY DEMONSTRATING THE BENEFITS OF SAIL POWERED SHIPPING.
