Age Concern Southend-on-Sea provides a face-to-face friendship/befriending service, telephone befriending, transport for older people to medical appointments, clubs, shops etc., a handyman service, wheelchair hire and a hearing aid battery exchange. It also runs a weekly community club and fundraising events and issues a local services directory and newsletter.
