Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (A) THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH; AND TO THE EXTENT THAT THE SAME DO NOT CONFLICT WITH THIS FIRST OBJECT; (B) TO PROMOTE THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS OF ABERDARE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, ON THE BASIS OF EQUALITY OF OPPORTUNITY AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW RELATING TO DISCRIMINATION, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION, PROMOTE GOOD HEALTH AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES FOR RECREATIONAL AND OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION, IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL WELFARE, WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS; AND (C) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY.
