Charitable objects

3.1. THE PURPOSES OF THE CIO ARE: 3.1.1. THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE BASIS OF FAITH AND THE DOCTRINAL DISTINCTIVES PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY WITHIN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF SOUTHWARK AND THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBOURHOOD; 3.1.2. SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES, AS SHALL IN THE OPINION OF THE CHARITY TRUSTEES FACILITATE THE WORK OF THE FELLOWSHIP, PROVIDED THAT SUCH PURPOSES MUST BE CARRIED OUT IN A MANNER CONSISTENT WITH THE BASIS OF FAITH AND THE DOCTRINAL DISTINCTIVES. 3.2. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
