THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AND PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE PUBLIC LIVING WITHIN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT: (A) THE ADVANCEMENT OF HEALTH (INCLUDING THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS), IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO,: (I) PROVIDING SUPPORT TO PERSONS LIVING WITH DEMENTIA, THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS, INCLUDING BY PROVIDING ADVICE, SUPPORT AND INFORMATION; (II) MAKING THE VIEWS AND EXPERIENCES OF PERSONS LIVING WITH DEMENTIA KNOWN TO HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE PROVIDERS; (III) ENABLING PERSONS LIVING WITH DEMENTIA, THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS TO HAVE A VOICE IN THE DEVELOPMENT, DELIVERY AND EQUALITY OF ACCESS TO LOCAL HEALTH AND CARE SERVICES AND FACILITIES; AND (IV) PROMOTING AND ORGANISING CO-OPERATION AND BRINGING TOGETHER MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC, STATUTORY AUTHORITIES AND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS TO BETTER UNDERSTAND AND SERVE THE NEEDS OF PERSONS LIVING WITH DEMENTIA, THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS. (B) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO, PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT DEMENTIA AND OTHER RELATED PROBLEMS ARISING FROM AGEING, ILLNESS OR DISEASE.
