Tameside Foodbank collects donations of non-perishable food and money from the local public, churches and businesses, stores the food and distribute it to families and individuals experiencing food poverty. It works with local voluntary and statutory agencies to identify people in need.

TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE IN THE EAST TAMESIDE AREA WHO ARE EXPERIENCING FINANCIAL HARDSHIP IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: (1)PROVIDING EMERGENCY FOOD TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN NEED; AND (2) SUCH OTHER MEANS AS THE TRUSTEES MAY FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE, INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT OR SIGNPOSTING TO RELEVANT INFORMATION AND OTHER ADVISORY SERVICES.
