Friends of Young Achievers (FoYA) are a charity which was formed in May 2013. The charities aims are to improve the conditions of life for young people with disabilities, in the Black Country area. The group will engage with young people through recognised Award groups such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award, to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals.

Charitable objects
TO IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AMONGST YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT, WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF DISABILITY BY: (A) SUPPORTING THE DELIVERY OF RECOGNISED AWARDS SPECIFICALLY FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES. (B) PROVIDING A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE BETWEEN THE AGE OF 10 ? 25 YEARS WITH DISABILITIES TO BE ABLE TO INTERACT SOCIALLY WITH PEERS AND TO PRACTISE THEIR SOCIAL SKILLS.
