Charitable objects
FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE CHARITY’S OBJECTS (‘OBJECTS’) ARE SPECIFICALLY RESTRICTED TO THE FOLLOWING: 1)TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PEOPLE IN SOMALIA BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL EQUIPMENT AND ASSISTANCE TO SCHOOLS. 2)TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PRESERVE THE HEALTH OF PEOPLE IN SOMALIA BY PROVIDING MEDICAL AID AND EQUIPMENT. 3)TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY WORKING WITH REFUGEES IN BIRMINGHAM WHO ARE SOCIAL EXCLUDED ON THE GROUNDS OF THEIR ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION BELIEF OR CREED, IN PARTICULAR, BUT NOT RESTRICTED TO, MEMBERS OF THE SOMALI COMMUNITY, TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF SUCH PEOPLE AND ASSIST THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY, IN PARTICULAR BY: A.PROVIDING A DROP IN CENTRE THAT ENCOURAGES AND ENABLES MEMBERS TO PARTICIPATE WITH THE WIDER COMMUNITY B.PROVIDING WORKSHOPS, FORUMS, ADVOCACY AND GENERAL SUPPORT FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE “SOCIALLY EXCLUDED” MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY OR PARTS OF SOCIETY AS A RESULT OF ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS; UNEMPLOYMENT; FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; RACE; GENDER; POOR EDUCATIONAL OR SKILLS ATTAINMENT; DISABILITY; RELIGION BELIEF OR ETHNIC ORIGIN.
