IN THE COUNTRIES OF AFRICA INCLUDING (BUT NOT LIMITED TO) BURUNDI AND RWANDA, A) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND WELFARE OF DEAF CHILDREN AND ADULTS BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR EDUCATION. B) THE RELIEF AND EMPOWERMENT OF PERSONS WHO ARE DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING BY THE PROVISION OF AN INFORMATION SERVICE AND RESOURCES. C) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, DISTRESS OF POVERTY AND LIVING UNDER VULNERABLE CONDITIONS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF GRANTS OR SMALL LOANS, GOODS OR SERVICES TO ENABLE THEM TO DEVELOP SELF-SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS AND TO FEED, CLOTHE AND EDUCATE THEIR FAMILIES.
