Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY (THE "OBJECTS") ARE BY SUCH MEANS AS ARE CHARITABLE IN LAW FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT TO ADVANCE THE ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN FAITH WITHIN THE TOWN OF LEWES, EAST SUSSEX AND ADJACENT COUNTIES AND IN PARTICULAR, BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION: A. TO MAINTAIN OR ASSIST IN MAINTAINING A CHURCH BUILDING OR CHURCHES WHERE CANONICAL ORTHODOX LITURGICAL WORSHIP IS CELEBRATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CANON LAW OF THE ORTHODOX CHURCH; B. TO PROVIDE FOR THE PROMOTION AND TEACHING OF THE ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN FAITH THROUGH THE ACTIVITIES OF PROPERLY CONSTITUTED PARISHES AND EUCHARISTIC COMMUNITIES; C. TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN PROVIDING A CHURCH OR CHURCHES AND LITURGICAL ITEMS (INCLUDING ICONS, VESTMENTS, PLATE, CANDLES AND OTHER CONSUMABLES ETC.) IN WHICH AND FOR WHICH CANONICAL ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN WORSHIP MAY BE CELEBRATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TRADITIONS OF THE ORTHODOX CHURCH; D.TO RECEIVE AND SAFEGUARD ANY MONEYS COLLECTED BY ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN PARISHES, EUCHARISTIC COMMUNITIES OR INDIVIDUALS, OR MONIES DONATED TO ANY SUCH BODY, AND DESIGNATE THOSE FUNDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF CONSUMABLES , LITURGICAL ITEMS, SERVICES OR PROPERTY FOR THE FURTHERANCE OF THE ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN FAITH LIFE IN THOSE PARISHES, COMMUNITIES OR INDIVIDUALS.
