Activities - how the charity spends its money
X2Y LGBT Youth Group provides support for young people aged 11 to 25 in Wolverhampton and surrounding areas. Our main aim is to advance equality for young people who are Lesbian, Gay, Bi or Trans and challenge homophobia, bi-phobia and transphobia. Our core activity is to run two groups, one for 11 to 17-year-olds and the other for the 18 to 25 age range. Both groups run on a weekly basis.

Charitable objects
THE CIO IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS (1) TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF PEOPLE WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT BY: PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, AND RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, AS A RESULT OF THEIR AGE, SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER-REASSIGNMENT; PROVIDING FACILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR RECREATION AND EDUCATION FOR SUCH PEOPLE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; (2) TO PROMOTE AND PRESERVE THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF PEOPLE WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO ARE DISADVANTAGED BY AGE, AND SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER-REASSIGNMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, BY PROVIDING INFORMATION, ADVICE AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT. (3) TO PROMOTE EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY AND IN PARTICULAR THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF AGE, SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND GENDER RE-ASSIGNMENT BY RAISING AWARENESS, WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, OF ALL ASPECTS OF DISCRIMINATION IN SOCIETY THROUGH PUBLICATIONS, TRAINING, EVENTS, MEDIA, AND OTHER MEANS OF COMMUNICATION. AMONGST CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHO IDENTIFY AS LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL OR TRANSGENDER (LGBT), OR WHO ARE UNSURE OF THEIR SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER IDENTITY IN WOLVERHAMPTON, THE BLACK COUNTRY AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS (THE AREA OF BENEFIT)
