1. TO ADVANCE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN ALL ASPECTS OF THALASSEMIA INCLUDING ITS PREVENTION AND TREATMENT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY AMONGST THE SOUTH ASIAN COMMUNITY WHO ARE AT GREATER RISK OF INHERITING THE DISEASE;
2. TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE GOOD HEALTH OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE THALASSEMIA IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING CLINICS TO SCREEN FOR THE DISEASE AND THE TREATMENT OF POOR FAMILIES WHO COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THE COSTS OF TREATMENT.
