PAIN aims to provide services to the general public, patients, GPs and healthcare professionals in primary and secondary healthcare services. PAIN disseminates literature raising awareness of OPD among the general public, and also targets healthcare professionals via conferences and literature aimed at raising awareness of OPD as a a major health concern, and via our website.

TO PROMOTE GOOD HEALTH AND WELLBEING IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY RAISING THE PUBLIC’S AWARENESS OF ADDICTION TO MEDICINES IN THE UK AND GLOBALLY BY THE DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION, THROUGH EDUCATIONAL EVENTS, RESEARCH (PUBLISHING THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT) AND ACTING AS AN ADVOCACY SERVICE TO PATIENTS WITH DEPENDENCY ISSUES.
