THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF THE PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH OF WOMEN DURING PREGNANCY, CHILDBIRTH AND THE POSTNATAL PERIOD, BY ENSURING THE AVAILABILITY OF COMMUNITY-BASED CASELOAD MIDWIFERY, IN PARTICULAR TO VULNERABLE WOMEN AND THEIR FAMILIES. 2. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, AND OF HEALTHCARE WORKERS IN PARTICULAR, IN MATTERS RELATING TO THE IMPROVEMENT OF MATERNITY CARE AND THE PROVISION OF CASELOAD MIDWIFERY SERVICES.
