Charitable objects
(1)TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT* AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX ORIENTATION, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID RESIDENTS AND THE LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR THE RECREATIONAL LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS. TO ESTABLISH OR SECURE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND TO MAINTAIN OR MANAGE OR COOPERATE WITH ANY STATUTORY AUTHORITY IN THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF SUCH A CENTRE FOR ACTIVITIES PROMOTED BY THE CHARITY IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE OBJECTS. THE CHARITY SHALL BE NON-PARTY IN POLITICS AND NON-SECTARIAN IN RELIGION. (2) TO FURTHER SUCH OTHER PURPOSES AS ARE CHARITABLE WITHIN THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALES AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME DETERMINE. *THE AREA OF BENEFIT SHALL BE KIRKHEATON AND SURROUNDING AREA INCLUDING UPPER HEATON, LASCELLES HALL, BRIGGATE, GAWTHORPE, WELLHOUSE AND HOUSES HILL.
