Activities - how the charity spends its money
Our mission is to provide leaders of the Oxfordshire not-for-profit sector with high quality mentoring. The mentoring is free-of-charge, short-term (around 4 months) and focused on specific, strategic issues as presented by the mentee. Activities include; recruiting suitable mentors, developing and improving our services and making them available to the not-for-profit sector.

Charitable objects
THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS OF CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY SECTOR ORGANISATIONS THROUGH THE PROVISION OF HIGH QUALITY MENTORING AND OTHER SERVICES TO THEIR LEADERS, WITH THE AIM OF ENABLING AND ENCOURAGING CLEAR STRATEGIC THINKING, PLANNING AND ACTION, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE WHOLE ORGANISATION. IN THIS CLAUSE, “THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR” MEANS CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS DEFINED AS FOLLOWS: “CHARITIES ARE ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAW OF ENGLAND AND WALES. VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS ARE INDEPENDENT ORGANISATIONS, WHICH ARE ESTABLISHED FOR PURPOSES THAT ADD VALUE TO THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE, OR A SIGNIFICANT SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY, AND WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED BY THEIR CONSTITUTION TO MAKE A PROFIT FOR PRIVATE DISTRIBUTION. VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS DO NOT INCLUDE LOCAL GOVERNMENT OR OTHER STATUTORY AUTHORITIES.
