Charitable objects
1. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE SUBJECTS OF ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION AND SOCIAL HISTORY AS THEY RELATE TO STEAM LOCOMOTION AND IN PARTICULAR THE STEAM LOCOMOTIVE DESIGNS OF THOMAS RUSSELL CRAMPTON. IN FURTHERANCE OF THIS OBJECT: A. TO REACH OUT AND PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO YOUNG PEOPLE, PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND MATURE ADULTS NO LONGER IN FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT, AS WELL AS THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL; AND B. TO PROMOTE RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE SUBJECTS MENTIONED ABOVE AND TO PUBLISH USEFUL RESULTS. 2. FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, TO PROMOTE AND PRESERVE CULTURE, HERITAGE AND SCIENCE PRIMARILY BY CONSTRUCTING, OPERATING AND MAINTAINING REPLICA STEAM LOCOMOTIVES (PRIMARILY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY INCORPORATING THE DESIGNS OF THOMAS RUSSELL CRAMPTON) AND OF SUITABLE REPLICA ROLLING STOCK FOR OPERATION WITH THESE LOCOMOTIVES FOR PUBLIC DISPLAY AND EXHIBITION.
