Charitable objects
1) TO PROMOTE HUMAN RIGHTS (AS SET OUT IN THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS AND SUBSEQUENT UNITED NATIONS CONVENTIONS AND DECLARATIONS, IN PARTICULAR THE UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON THE RIGHTS OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES) THROUGHOUT BURKINA FASO BY THE FOLLOWING MEANS: - RELIEVING NEED AMONG THE VICTIMS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSE; - EDUCATING THE PUBLIC ABOUT HUMAN RIGHTS; - RAISING AWARENESS OF HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES; - PROMOTING PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS; - PROMOTING RESPECT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS AMONG INDIVIDUALS AND CORPORATIONS; - INTERNATIONAL ADVOCACY OF HUMAN RIGHTS. IN FURTHERANCE OF THAT OBJECT BUT NOT OTHERWISE, THE TRUSTEES SHALL HAVE POWER TO ENGAGE IN POLITICAL ACTIVITY PROVIDED THAT THE TRUSTEES ARE SATISFIED THAT THE PROPOSED ACTIVITIES WILL FURTHER THE PURPOSES OF THE CHARITY TO AN EXTENT JUSTIFIED BY THE RESOURCES COMMITTED AND THE ACTIVITY IS NOT THE DOMINANT MEANS BY WHICH THE CHARITY CARRIES OUT ITS OBJECTS. 2) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY AMONG PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES IN BURKINA FASO BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY. 3) THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL INCLUSION AMONG PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND THEIR FAMILIES IN BURKINA FASO WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF BEING DISABLED BY: - PROVIDING EDUCATION AND INFORMATION TO SUPPORT AND ENABLE PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES TO MAXIMISE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR THEIR CHILDREN; - RAISING PUBLIC AWARENESS OF THE ISSUES AFFECTING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, BOTH GENERALLY AND IN RELATION TO THEIR SOCIAL EXCLUSION; - PROVIDING WORKSHOPS, FORUMS, ADVOCACY AND GENERAL SUPPORT; - PROVIDING RECREATIONAL FACILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES.
