Activities - how the charity spends its money
The project aims to provide accommodation and support to men who are at a crisis point in their lives, those post rehabilitation from drug and alcohol addiction, men leaving the military and men leaving prison. The object is to help them stabilise, regain their confidence and self-respect and move forward to find employment and accommodation out in the wider community.

Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE UNDERTAKEN WITH A CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES AND ETHOS: TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF MEN BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF ONE OF MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: UNEMPLOYMENT; FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; ILL HEALTH (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL); SUBSTANCE ABUSE OR DEPENDENCY INCLUDING ALCOHOL AND DRUGS; DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF SEX, RACE, DISABILITY,ETHNIC ORIGIN, RELIGION, BELIEF, CREED, SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER RE-ASSIGNMENT; POOR EDUCATIONAL OR SKILLS ATTAINMENT; RELATIONSHIP AND FAMILY BREAKDOWN; POOR HOUSING (THAT IS HOUSING THAT DOES NOT MEET BASIC HABITABLE STANDARDS); CRIME (EITHER AS A VICTIM OF CRIME OR AS AN OFFENDER REHABILITATING INTO SOCIETY), IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN RECENTLY REHABILITATED FROM DRUG OR ALCOHOL ADDICTION, MEN WHO HAVE RECENTLY BEEN RELEASED FROM PRISON, MEN WITH MILITARY BACKGROUNDS OR MEN WHO HAVE FACED OTHER LIFE CHANGING SITUATIONS LEADING TO SOCIAL EXCLUSION. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
