THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO ASSIST PERSONS WHO ARE CURRENTLY SERVING OR WHO HAVE SERVED IN THE ARMED FORCES AND THEIR FAMILIES BY ADVANCING ANY LAWFUL CHARITY PURPOSE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CHARITY TRUSTEES AND IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY: TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN WOUNDED OR INJURED WHILST SERVING IN THE ARMED FORCES THROUGH THE PROVISION OF ACCOMMODATION, FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT OR SERVICES FOR THEIR REHABILITATION. TO PROMOTE THE WELL BEING OF THOSE THAT HAVE BEEN WOUNDED OR INJURED WHILST SERVING IN THE ARMED FORCES BY PROVIDING ACCOMMODATION, FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT OR SERVICES TO SUCH OF THEIR FAMILIES AND DEPENDENTS WHO WISH TO VISIT THEM WHILE THEY RECEIVE THEIR REHABILITATION.
