Activities - how the charity spends its money
Light of Hira provides classes to new Muslims and meets with people interested in Islam. It distributes reliable and authentic Islamic literature to the public, including prisons. It assists periodically with Food Collection Service collecting donated items from the local Muslim community, with the purpose of donating non-perishable food items to the poverty stricken a/o those living in crisis.

Charitable objects
(1) TO ADVANCE THE RELIGION OF ISLAM, BY MEANS OF, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, PROMOTING AND PROPAGATING THE TEACHINGS AND TENETS OF ISLAM, THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AND SERVICES FOR ISLAMIC EDUCATION, SPIRITUAL GUIDANCE, AND PASTORAL SUPPORT FOR MUSLIMS, NEW MUSLIMS (PERSONS REVERTED OR CONVERTED TO ISLAM) AND THEIR FAMILIES, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TEACHINGS OF THE QURAN AND SUNNAH OF THE PROPHET MUHAMMAD PBUH AS EXPOUNDED BY THE AHLE SUNNAH WAL JAMAH SCHOOL OF THOUGHT; (2) TO RELIEVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, DISTRESS AND SUFFERING AMONG POOR PEOPLE, HOMELESS PERSONS, VICTIMS OF NATURAL DISASTERS AND OTHER PEOPLE IN NEED, BY MEANS OF, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, MAKING GRANTS OR LOANS FOR PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR ITEMS, EQUIPMENT, SERVICES AND FACILITIES, INCLUDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF WATER WELLS AND THE PROVISION OF FOOD, CLOTHING, AND ACCOMMODATION FOR THE SAID PERSONS;
