DURING THE TRUST PERIOD THE TRUSTEES SHALL PAY OR APPLY THE INCOME OF THE TRUST FUND TO OR FOR THE FURTHERANCE OF SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSE OR CHARITABLE PURPOSES AS THE APPOINTOR SHALL FROM TIME TO TIME IN WRITING DIRECT AND SUBJECT TO OR IN DEFAULT OF ANY SUCH DIRECTION AS THE TRUSTEES IN THEIR DISCRETION THINK FIT
