THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO FURTHER SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF OROMO WOMEN NOW LIVING IN THE UK IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY: (1) TO PROMOTE, PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF OROMO WOMEN BY SEEKING TO ADVANCE EDUCATION ABOUT GENITAL MUTILATION, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND TO ADVOCATE TO END THE BAD PRACTICE OF FEMALE GENITAL MUTILATION (FGM). (2) TO PROVIDE AND ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION FOR OROMO WOMEN IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE AND IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE.
