TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH THE USE OF MEDIATED LEARNING TECHNIQUES BY: · ORGANISING AND PROVIDING TRAINING FOR TEACHERS, LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANTS AND OTHER SCHOOL STAFF, PARENTS AND CARERS · MAKING GRANTS TO ASSIST IN THE UNDERTAKING OF COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT FOR THE PURPOSE OF CLAUSES 5.1 'MEDIATED LEARNING' MEANS THE USE OF HUMAN INTERVENTION TO SELECT, FOCUS AND ORGANISE STIMULI FOR A LEARNER SO THAT THE LEARNER ACQUIRES BEHAVIOUR PATTERNS AND STRATEGIES THAT BECOME IMPORTANT INGREDIENTS IN THE LEARNER'S CAPACITY TO THINK ABOUT OBJECTS AND EVENTS IN THE WORLD, AND TO BE STIMULATED TO CHANGE COGNITIVE STRUCTURES AND RESPONSES.
