THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE A) TO BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS OF KNIGHTON IN THE COUNTY OF POWYS, INCLUDING RESIDENTS OF SURROUNDING DISTRICTS (HEREAFTER CALLED THE ‘AREA OF BENEFIT’, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, RACE OR POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER FAITHS. B) TO WORK WITH RESIDENTS, LOCAL AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS TO ADVANCE EDUCATION, WELL BEING, MENTAL HEALTH AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR ALL RESIDENTS.
