PROMOTING THE MATERIAL MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL WELFARE OF CHILDREN WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM ILLNESS DISABILITY OR HANDICAP WHETHER MENTAL OR PHYSICAL AND IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT ANY WAY LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE OREGOING) BY MAKING GRANTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF TOYS AND EQUIPMENT NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE AREA HEALTH AUTHORITY TO STIMULATE THE DEVELOPMENT OF HANDICAPPED CHILDREN AND ASSISTING WITH EXPENSES INCURRED IN RESEARCH NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE AREA HEALTH AUTHORITY AIMED AT IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF CARE FOR SUCH HENDICAPPED CHILDREN.
