THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (1) TO PROTECT AND PROMOTE GOOD HEALTH AMONG PERSONS SUFFERING FROM VECTOR-BORNE DISEASES IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY RAISING AWARENESS OF THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE PROVISION OF CONFERENCES, INFORMATION AND SUPPORT. (2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL, AND MEDICAL AND VETERINARY SCIENCE PROFESSIONALS IN PARTICULAR, IN THE SUBJECT OF VECTOR-BORNE DISEASES AND TO PROMOTE RESEARCH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN ALL ASPECTS OF THAT SUBJECT AND TO PUBLISH THE USEFUL RESULTS.
