Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, the academy's congress has been postponed. The new date will be announced once the pandemic is controlled world wide. We are hoping to be able to hold the event end of 2021 or early 2022. Meanwhile the Academy is working on developing scientific position statements that would help colleagues in the Arabian region.

1) IN THIS CONSTITUTION THE TERM, “THE REGION” SHALL MEAN THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES:- UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, AND JORDAN. 2)THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: TO RELIEVE POOR ORAL HEALTH AMONGST CHILDREN IN THE REGION BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF DENTAL SERVICES, EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES, ADVANCED TRAINING FOR DENTAL PROFESSIONALS AND BY CARRYING OUT OR PROMOTING RESEARCH; TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE ORAL HEALTH OF CHILDREN IN THE REGION BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF DENTAL SERVICES, EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES NOT NORMALLY AVAILABLE IN THE COUNTRIES CONCERNED; TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE REGION AND ELSEWHERE IN ORAL HEALTH CARE FOR CHILDREN BY PROVIDING AND DISSEMINATING INFORMATION AND PRACTICAL ADVICE; NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
