Working with partner organisations in the region we seek to strengthen their service provision by the provision of technical support and funding, at the same time as raising the interests of people in the UK in their situation.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: THE PROMOTION OF THE EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE USE OF RESOURCES FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES BY CHARITABLE BODIES IN THE MENA REGION (FOR THE PURPOSES OF ACROSS BORDERS, THIS IS DEFINED AS ALGERIA, BAHRAIN, DJIBOUTI, EGYPT, IRAN, IRAQ, ISRAEL, JORDAN, KUWAIT, LEBANON, LIBYA, MALTA, MOROCCO, OMAN, QATAR, SAUDI ARABIA, SYRIA, TUNISIA, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, WEST BANK AND GAZA, AND YEMEN) FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY: A) PROVIDING INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT TO REFUGEE SERVICE ORGANISATIONS IN THE MENA REGION, TO INCREASE CAPACITY, SKILLS AND ADDITIONAL RESOURCES. THESE ORGANISATIONS WILL ALL HAVE A COMMON PURPOSE AND AMBITION, TO RELIEVE THE SUFFERING OF REFUGEES AND VULNERABLE MIGRANTS. B) SUPPORTING ACTIVITIES RELATING TO CHARITABLE PURPOSES CARRIED OUT BY CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO SUPPORT REFUGEES, ASYLUM SEEKERS AND MIGRANTS IN THE MENA REGION.
