Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (3.1) THE PROMOTION OF THE MORAL OR SPIRITUAL WELFARE OR IMPROVEMENT OF THE COMMUNITY IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN WEST BERKSHIRE WITH THE AIM OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF ALL WHO COME ON BOARD/USE THE CHARITY’S BUS OF HOPE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. (3.2) THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION AND OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN WEST BERKSHIRE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING OF THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE OF ALL WHO COME ON BOARD/USE THE CHARITY’S BUS OF HOPE/IN NEED OF THEM REGARDLESS OF THEIR AGE, BELIEFS OR BACKGROUND FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. (3.3) THE ADVANCEMENT OF SUCH OTHER CHARITABLE PURPOSES (CHARITABLE UNDER ENGLISH LAW) AS THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT FROM TIME TO TIME FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE BENEFIT OF INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES IN WEST BERKSHIRE. THE CIO WILL SHARE A MESSAGE OF CHRISTIAN HOPE IN FURTHERING ITS OBJECTS AND IS FOUNDED ON A SET OF “FOUNDATIONAL BELIEFS” - SEE APPENDIX 1 OF THE CONSTITUTION “FOUNDATIONAL BELIEFS”. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
