THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE SERVICE BY PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO ITS PERSONNEL, PAST AND PRESENT, AND THEIR DEPENDANTS AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE RELIEF OF NEED AMONGST BENEFICIARIES AND THEIR DEPENDANTS.
