Charitable objects
THE TRUSTEES SHALL HOLD THE CAPITAL AND INCOME FOR OR TOWARDS SUCH EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE PURPOSES AND TO MAKE DONATIONS TO SUCH CHARITABLE INSTITUTION OR INSTITUTIONS IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD AT SUCH TIME OR TIMES AND IN SUCH MANNER AS THE TRUSTEES MAY IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT AND MORE PARTICULARLY (BUT WITHOUT LIMITATION OR RESTRICTION TO THE GENERALITY THEREOF): (1) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN GENERAL AND PARTICULARLY IN SUBJECTS RELATED TO SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND THE PROTECTION, ENHANCEMENT AND REHABILITATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT; (2) TO RELIEVE AND PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE GOOD HEALTH BY THE PROVISION OF MEDICAL FACILITIES, SUPPLIES, PERSONNEL AND PROCEDURES CALCULATED TO OVERCOME DISEASE, INJURY OR MALNUTRITION; (3) THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING AND THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS BY THE PROVISION OF FUNDS, LOANS, GRANTS AND BURSARIES (INCLUDING MICROFINANCE SERVICES). (4) TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE, DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION UNDERSTANDING AND PRACTICE OF ALL FORMS OF ART AND MUSIC. IN SUB-CLAUSE 1 “SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT” MEANS DEVELOPMENT THAT MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE PRESENT WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE ABILITY OF FUTURE GENERATIONS TO MEET THEIR OWN NEEDS.
