THE OBJECT OF THE CIO IS TO RELIEVE THE MENTAL AND PHYSICAL SICKNESS OF PERSONS OVER THE AGE OF 18 RESIDENT IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE DISTRICT OF LANCASTER AND ADJACENT DISTRICTS SUFFERING FROM DISTRESS CAUSED BY SUCH AS, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY: (I) PSYCHOLOGICAL OR EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS, OR (II) SOCIAL OR ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES BY THE PROVISION OF COUNSELLING AND SUPPORT FOR SUCH PERSONS.
