Charitable objects
3. Objects The charity’s objects (‘the objects’) are (1) The aims of the Charity ("the Objectives") are to relieve sickness, infirmity and the disabilities attendant on old age amongst persons living in Leeds, by providing a local broadcasting service for hospitals, hospices, old persons' homes and/or similar institutions, and wherever possible, providing a similar service within the local community to assist patients receiving "Care in the Community". (2) In furtherance of these Objectives, the Charity: (a) shall provide programmes of interest and relevance (including live sports broadcasts) to those who are patients, sick, infirm or aged; (b) may make these programmes available to similar establishments and/or organisations, if appropriate; (c) may provide a "messenger service" and co-operate with other organisations providing a similar service locally, nationally and/or internationally; [Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the charity for purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and/or section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.]
