Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT:- 4.1 TO RELIEVE PATIENTS AND FORMER PATIENTS OF NUFFIELD ORTHOPAEDIC CENTRE ("THE NOC") (BEING PART OF THE OXFORD UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST) WHO ARE IN NEED BECAUSE OF AGE, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE BY ANY CHARITABLE MEANS INCLUDING THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT, WHICH, WHILE NOT ESSENTIAL, WILL PROMOTE IMPROVED TREATMENT OR COMFORT OF PATIENTS, USERS AND STAFF AND THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT AND ADVICE TO FAMILIES AND CARERS; 4.2 TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE NEEDS OF THE PATIENTS AND USERS OF THE NOC AND OTHER SUCH PERSONS IN THE COMMUNITY AND TO MOBILISE, ENCOURAGE, FOSTER AND MAINTAIN THE INTEREST AND SUPPORT OF THE PUBLIC IN THE NOC; AND 4.3 TO SUPPORT SUCH ACTIVITIES OF THE NOC AS ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE.
