Charitable objects
TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT GOOD HEALTH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY PEOPLE FROM ETHNIC MINORITY COMMUNITIES LIVING WITH OR AFFECTED BY CANCER BY:- • PROVIDING PRACTICAL ADVICE AND CULTURALLY SENSITIVE INFORMATION AND SUPPORT ON A LOCAL, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL LEVEL • PROVIDING CANCER RELATED INFORMATION AND RESOURCES THAT ARE CULTURALLY SENSITIVE AND APPROPRIATE TO THE TARGET GROUPS • DEVELOPING AND DELIVERING A HOLISTIC CULTURALLY SENSITIVE SUPPORT SERVICE FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH CANCER AND THEIR CARERS • OFFERING A SAFE AND CONFIDENTIAL SPACE IN WHICH SERVICE USERS CAN EXCHANGE EXPERIENCES, MEET OTHERS AND DEVELOP A NETWORK OF SUPPORT AND MUTUAL AID • DEVELOPING MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL PARTNERSHIPS IN ORDER TO DELIVER EFFECTIVE HEALTH AWARENESS RAISING EVENTS AND SESSIONS TO INCREASE EARLY DETECTION OF CANCER PARTICULARLY THOSE THAT DISPROPORTIONATELY AFFECT CSUK’S TARGET SERVICE USERS • FACILITATING COMMUNITY LED FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES WITH THE AIM TO DEVELOP A LONG TERM SUSTAINABLE SUPPORT SERVICE FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH CANCER NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF CSUK FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008]
