Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: (1)TO ADVANCE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, THE ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN FAITH (2)TO ESTABLISH, MAINTAIN AND DEVELOP, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, CHURCHES IN THE COUNTY OF SHROPSHIRE AND SURROUNDING AREA, TO PROVIDE LITURGICAL SERVICES, SACRAMENTS, TEACHING AND PASTORAL CARE ACCORDING TO THE RITES AND DOCTRINES OF THE ORTHODOX CHURCH, AND TO PROVIDE CHARITABLE SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE IN NEED WHATEVER THEIR BACKGROUND OR LOCATION. NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 1 – 4 OF THE CHARITIES ACT 2011.
