THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: • TO HELP PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY IN THE UK AND DR CONGO BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WORKING TO PREVENT OR RELIEVE POVERTY • TO RELIEVE POVERTY [OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP] AMONG ORPHANS BETWEEN 0-16 YEARS OF AGE AND THEIR DEPENDANTS LIVING IN THE UK AND DR CONGO [OR ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD] BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, HEALTHCARE, ADVOCACY, SHELTER AND FOOD • TO RELIEVE THE POVERTY OF YOUNG PEOPLE BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO ENABLE THEM TO PARTICIPATE IN HEALTHY RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES THAT THEY COULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD • THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS AND THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE RESIDING PERMANENTLY IN THE UK AND/OR DR CONGO • THE RELIEF OF UNEMPLOYMENT FOR OVER 16-21 YEAR OLDS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC IN SUCH WAYS AS MAY BE THOUGHT FIT, INCLUDING ASSISTANCE TO FIND EMPLOYMENT • TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING YOUNG PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY.
