Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE: 3.1.1 THE PRESERVATION OF HEALTH AND THE RELIEF OF SICKNESS THROUGH THE TREATMENT, CARE AND REHABILITATION OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM ILLNESS OR DISABILITY OF ANY DESCRIPTION WITH A PARTICULAR FOCUS ON NEUROLOGICAL IMPAIRMENT; 3.1.2 THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONGST PEOPLE WHO SUFFER DISABILITY RELATED TO NEUROLOGICAL IMPAIRMENT IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE PROVISION OF GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANISATIONS; 3.1.3 THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION THROUGH THE SUPPORT OF SCIENTIFIC, MEDICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH INTO NEUROLOGICAL CONDITIONS AND THE PUBLICATION OF THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH; 3.1.4 THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING BY PROVIDING FUNDING TO INDIVIDUALS AND NOT-FOR-PROFIT ORGANISATIONS TO IMPROVE THE PROVISION OF CARE FOR THOSE WITH A NEUROLOGICAL IMPAIRMENT; 3.2 NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
