The Trust is engaged in a project to restore and preserve Dulverton's medieval Weir and Leat (known as an Urban Watermill Landscape) working alongside its Partners who are :- Exmoor National Park Authority, Somerset County Council, West Somerset Council, Dulverton Town Council, Westcountry Rivers Trust and British Canoeing.

TO PROMOTE THE PERMANENT PRESERVATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY OF THE ANCIENT WEIR (THE WEIR) HAVING AN ORDNANCE SURVEY GRID REFERENCE OF SS 913283, SITUATED ON THE RIVER BARLE IN DULVERTON WITHIN THE EXMOOR NATIONAL PARK IN THE COUNTY OF SOMERSET, TOGETHER WITH THE MILL LEAT (THE LEAT) AND OTHER LAND AND STRUCTURES ASSOCIATED WITH THE WEIR AND LEAT. 2. THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE WEIR AND LEAT. 3. THE CONSERVATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE WEIR AND LEAT AND ITS SURROUNDING HABITATS, WILDLIFE, FLORA AND FAUNA FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC. 4. THE PROVISION OF AN OPEN SPACE FOR THE RECREATION OF THE PUBLIC.
