TO PROMOTE EDUCATION AND RESEARCH INTO THE STUDY OF OPHTHALMOLOGY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY: A) SUPPORTING WORLD-CLASS SCIENTIFIC AND CLINICAL RESEARCH INTO SIGHT LOSS AND OTHER MANIFESTATIONS OF EYE DISEASE; B) ENHANCING THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF PROFESSIONALS INVOLVED IN EYE CARE AND IN OPHTHALMIC RESEARCH AND EDUCATION; AND C) SUPPORTING ENGAGEMENT WITH PATIENTS AND THE PUBLIC TO BETTER UNDERSTAND EYE DISEASE AND SUPPORT EYE HEALTH.
