TO PROMOTE THE RELIEF OF ADULTS LIVING IN MID SUFFOLK AND THE IMMEDIATE SURROUNDING AREA (“THE AREA OF BENEFIT”) WHO HAVE PHYSICAL AND/OR SENSORY DISABILITIES BY: 1.1 PROVIDING DAY TIME ACTIVITIES FOR ADULTS WHO HAVE PHYSICAL AND/OR SENSORY DISABILITIES. 1.2 PROMOTING AWARENESS OF DISABILITY ISSUES AMONGST STATUTORY AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS IN THE COMMUNITY. 1.3 ENABLING PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES TO MAXIMISE THEIR INDEPENDENCE AND DEVELOP THEIR POTENTIAL. 1.4 TO ACQUIRE OR TAKE ON LEASE PREMISES FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE CIO AND TO MAINTAIN AND MANAGE SUCH PREMISES AND CO-OPERATE IN THE MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF SUCH PREMISES. 1.5 OBTAIN, COLLECT AND RECEIVE MONEY AND FUNDS BY WAY OF CONTRIBUTIONS, DONATIONS, SUBSCRIPTIONS, LEGACIES, GRANTS AND OTHER LAWFUL METHOD, AFFILIATE TO ANY BODY HAVING OBJECTS SIMILAR TO THOSE OF THE CIO, ARRANGE AND PROVIDE FOR THE HOLDING OF EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND CLASSES.
