TO PROMOTE AND ESTABLISH A MUSEUM FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY AND ESPECIALLY THE INHABITANTS OF GREAT TORRINGTON AND SURROUNDING DISTRICT AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE EXHIBITION OF SUCH HISTORIC OBJECTS BEING BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BEING OF PARTICULAR INTEREST TO THE INHABITANTS OF GREAT TORRINGTON AND SURROUNDING DISTRICT AND FURTHER TO ESTABLISH A CENTRE FOR THE FURTHERANCE OF KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION FOR THE INHABITANTS OF GREAT TORRINGTON AND SURROUNDING DISTRICT IN THE HISTORY OF GREAT TORRINGTON AND SURROUNDING DISTRICTS.
