Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES AND THE ELECTORAL WARD OF HAM AND PETERSHAM AND RICHMOND RIVERSIDE IN THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND OR ELSEWHERE AT THE CHARITY TRUSTEES' DISCRETION: 1) TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION THROUGH THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS, LECTURES, PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS, THE PROVISION OF PASTORAL SUPPORT AND PRODUCING AND/OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE ON CHRISTIANITY TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN FAITH. 2) TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED AND ASSISTING THEM TO INTEGRATE INTO SOCIETY. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THIS CLAUSE ‘SOCIALLY EXCLUDED’ MEANS BEING EXCLUDED FROM SOCIETY, OR PARTS OF SOCIETY, AS A RESULT OF ONE OF MORE OF THE FOLLOWING FACTORS: UNEMPLOYMENT; FINANCIAL HARDSHIP; YOUTH OR OLD AGE; ILL HEALTH (PHYSICAL OR MENTAL); SUBSTANCE ABUSE OR DEPENDENCY INCLUDING ALCOHOL AND DRUGS; POOR EDUCATIONAL OR SKILLS ATTAINMENT; RELATIONSHIP AND FAMILY BREAKDOWN; OR BEING A VICTIM OF DOMESTIC ABUSE. 3) THE DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OF CHILDREN UNDER STATUTORY SCHOOL AGE IN PARTICULAR BY: A) PROMOTING THEIR CARE AND SAFETY; B) PROMOTING THEIR EDUCATION AND PROMOTING PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT; C) PROMOTING THEIR HEALTH AND WELLBEING; AND D) PROVIDING SERVICES TO SUPPORT THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS.
