Charitable objects
THE OBJECTS OF THE FOUNDATION ARE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: 1) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WHICH PROVIDE EDUCATION PROJECTS RELATING TO FOOD AND WATER SCARCITY AND SUSTAINABLE FOOD PRODUCTION. 2) THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF POVERTY BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WHICH PROVIDE: (A) TRAINING FOR SOCIALLY AND/OR ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE WORKING IN OR ASPIRING TO WORK IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY TO EQUIP THEM WITH SKILLS TO ENABLE THEM TO BUILD A SUSTAINABLE CAREER; AND B) FOOD AID TO COUNTRIES IN CRISIS AND/OR RUN FOOD AND WATER PROJECTS FOR THOSE SUFFERING FROM OR IN DANGER OF SUFFERING FROM THE EFFECTS OF POVERTY IN THE UK AND ABROAD. 3) THE RELIEF OF PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ILLNESS, INCLUDING ADDICTION TO ALCOHOL, DRUGS OR OTHER SUBSTANCES, IN PARTICULAR AMONG PERSONS EMPLOYED IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WHICH PROVIDE SUPPORT TO SUCH PERSONS. 4) THE PRESERVATION AND PROTECTION OF HEALTH BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WHICH PROVIDE AND/OR RUN, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: (A) PROJECTS WHICH IMPROVE ACCESS TO SAFE WATER AND SANITATION; AND (B) PROJECTS WHICH PROVIDE SUSTAINABLE FOOD SOURCES OR OTHERWISE SEEK TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF FOOD PRODUCTION OR SUPPLY IN DEVELOPING COUNTRIES AND OTHER DISADVANTAGED REGIONS. 5) THE PRESERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, PARTICULARLY BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY PROVIDING GRANTS TO INDIVIDUALS AND/OR CHARITIES, OR OTHER ORGANISATIONS WHICH PROVIDE AND/OR RUN, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, PROJECTS WHICH PROVIDE SUSTAINABLE FOOD SOURCES OR OTHERWISE SEEK TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF FOOD PRODUCTION OR SUPPLY.
