THE FOLLOWING OBJECT IS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT WITHIN CORNWALL AND THE ISLES OF SCILLY:- TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN AND TO PROMOTE AND ASSIST IN THE PROVISION AND MAINTENANCE OF PLAYING FIELDS, RECREATION GROUNDS, PLAYGROUNDS, OPEN SPACES AND OTHER FACILITIES FOR PLAY AND RECREATION FOR THE BENEFIT BOTH OF THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE AND OF PERSONS WHO BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE INFIRMITY, DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE SPECIAL NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES, WITH A VIEW TO IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE.
