TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN A SEARCH AND RESCUE TEAM THAT CAN PROFICIENTLY FULFIL THE ROLES EXPECTED OF SUCH TEAM, WHICH MAY INCLUDE: 1. MOORLAND SEARCH AND RESCUE 2. STEEP OR VERTICAL GROUND CARE 3. APPROPRIATE CASUALTY CARE 4. RURAL AND URBAN SEARCHES 5. GENERAL SUPPORT OF THE STATUTORY EMERGENCY SERVICES TO HELP IN THE RELIEF FO SUFFERING 6. EDUCATION OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE ABOVE
