The museum aims to preserve its collection of archaeological and historical artefacts from Roman times onwards and to bring them to the local community in a stimulating way by means of regular exhibitions, workshops, outreach to schools, working with volunteers and various other activities. In so doing, it aims to promote and extend interest in the history of Malton and the surrounding area.
