THE PROMOTION OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT BY: 1. ADVANCING EDUCATION AND RAISING AWARENESS IN EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY 2. CONDUCTING OR COMMISSIONING RESEARCH ON EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY ISSUES AND PUBLISHING THE RESULTS TO THE PUBLIC 3. CULTIVATING A SENTIMENT IN FAVOUR OF EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY, IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY IN RELATION TO NON-BINARY GENDER AND NON-HETERONORMATIVE SEXUALITY 4. PROMOTING SPORT AS AN INCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE PERSONAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF ALL YOUNG PEOPLE 5. SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE WHO MAY BE CONFRONTING CHALLENGES IN RELATION TO THEIR SEXUALITY FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE 'NON BINARY GENDER' MEANS THOSE WHO IDENTIFY AS NEITHER EXCLUSIVELY MASCULINE NOR EXCLUSIVELY FEMININE IN THEIR GENDER IDENTITY. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CLAUSE 'NON-HETERONORMATIVE SEXUALITY' MEANS SEXUALITY WHICH FALLS OUTSIDE THE BELIEF THAT PEOPLE FALL INTO DISTINCT AND COMPLEMENTARY GENDERS (MAN AND WOMAN) WITH NATURAL ROLE IN LIFE, AND POSSIBLE UNDERLYING ASSUMPTIONS THAT SEXUAL AND MARITAL RELATIONS ARE MORE FITTING BETWEEN PEOPLE OF OPPOSITE SEXES.
