TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROMOTE THE ARTS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN THE SHERBORNE AREA BY PROMOTING AND PROVIDING OPPORTUNITIES (THROUGH EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES) FOR THE APPRECIATION, UNDERSTANDING AND ENJOYMENT OF LITERATURE IN THE BROADEST SENSE INCLUDING THE PROMOTION AND RUNNING OF A LITERARY FESTIVAL.
